Who We Are Charleville State School is a rural and remote school in Queensland's outback with strong community ties. Your Role As the Family Support Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and families as they transition into school from early childhood services. You will facilitate access to learning and engagement supports, promote positive attendance and behaviour patterns, and link families to government and non-government services to reduce barriers to learning. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with teachers, aides, and specialist staff to assess children's needs, connecting families with health, developmental, and therapeutic services to support learning. Assist vulnerable children from diverse and complex backgrounds, including First Nations children, children with disabilities, and those in care. Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, carers, school staff, government agencies, and community services, advocating for family-led decision-making processes to achieve the best outcomes. What You Bring Experience working with culturally diverse families and students in a culturally responsive manner (or a willingness to develop this skill). Knowledge of, or the ability to develop knowledge of, the early childhood sector and transition processes to better support vulnerable children and families.
