Quality Inspecting Junior Mechanical or Mechatronics engineer. Defence industry requires security clearance checks. Great opportunity to join a leading Australian Engineering business in the Braeside area that specialises in the Defence, Aerospace and other hi-tech industries. We are looking for a Junior Quality Control Officer or Junior Engineer, preferably someone with a degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, who will be suitable. You will be trained and get involved in various tasks. You will be trained to work within the Quality Control department, utilising various metrology equipment, including CMMs, micrometres, height gauges, and other tools to verify and measure the precision of machined components. You will be responsible for reporting and maintaining records. It will be necessary to have an engineering background, as you will be working in a precision engineering and manufacturing business, where you will collaborate with tradespeople and engineers. This business manufactures components for Defence and Aerospace, as well as other high-tech industries. An understanding of AS9100 will be necessary. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) using a Micro-VU CMM, working with customers and Suppliers on all Quality Issues, quality systems and documentation, first-off inspections, validating parts, calibrations, and various other duties. You will be part of a very successful team and business that has an excellent reputation for producing high-end work.
