Policy and Reporting Officer Grade : Clerk Grade 7/8 Salary range: $113,574 - $125,720 per annum plus superannuation Duration : Ongoing – 2 x roles Location : Sydney/Parramatta/Gosford/Newcastle - Flexible Applications Close: Thursday 16 th October 2025 – 9:59am About the role As a Policy and Reporting Officer within the Strategy, Planning, Programs and Evaluation team at SafeWork NSW, you will contribute to the development and delivery of strategic planning, reporting and evaluation activities that support SafeWork’s role as a transparent, accountable and responsive work health and safety regulator. You’ll work closely with senior officers and stakeholders across the organisation to support the implementation of business plans, regulatory reporting, and program evaluation frameworks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is passionate about using data and insights to inform policy and improve public sector outcomes Your responsibilities will include: - Lead (with guidance) and support the development, coordination and drafting of corporate and statutory reporting, including the Annual Report and regulatory performance updates. - Lead (with guidance) and assist in the development, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of strategies and business plans, in line with organisational frameworks. - Source, analyse and interpret data to support reporting, performance monitoring and continuous improvement. - Draft clear, concise and engaging reports and briefing materials that communicate progress and impact. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and regulatory obligations. - Contribute to project planning and delivery, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. - Support the team’s commitment to innovation, capability building and customer-focused service delivery. About You: We are looking for someone who is: - Motivated and proactive team player with strong communication and project coordination skills. - Has experience in sourcing and analysing data and translating it into meaningful insights. - Confidence in writing reports and documents that are clear, engaging and tailored to diverse audiences. - Brings a customer-centric mindset and a commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement. - Adaptable, inclusive and eager to grow your skills in a supportive team environment. - Moderate to advanced Excel skills are desirable, but not essential.
