About the Company Our client focuses on manufacture, repair, and overhauls, of specialised mining equipment at their workshop based in Parkhurst. On offer: Casual hourly rate of $50/hr penalties Complete 8-10 hour shifts with regular overtime offered Mondays to Friday (have weekends off) Duties that you will complete include: Assembly: General strip, rebuild and assembly mining parts/components Installation: Installing and setting up machinery and mechanical systems, including components like hydraulics, pumps, gears, and valves Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning and tightening fasteners, to keep machinery in optimal operational condition Repair: Diagnosing and repairing faults in malfunctioning or worn machinery and equipment. Inspection & Testing: Conducting inspections and testing precision measuring instruments to check parts for accuracy, fit, and overall functionality based off drawings and specifications You will require: Trade certificate - Australian recognised Heavy industry or mining experience would be advantageous Experience working on underground mining gear is highly regarded but not essential Forklift License LF - highly regarded Note: Only local applicants who reside in Rockhampton will be considered.
