About Us: J Chandel & P Chandel are dedicated to providing outstanding culinary experiences to their guests and are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Cook for their well-established restaurant in Heidelburg, VIC. Qualifications: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery At least two years of experience in a similar role Key Responsibilities: · Seasoning and cooking of a wide range of foods from soups, snacks, and salads to entrees, side dishes and desserts and main courses according to the menu. · Preparing food items according to the recipes and garnishing and displaying the cooked food efficiently. · Peeling, chopping, washing, boiling and cutting of vegetables and sea-food to prepare them for a variety of food items. · Preparing all kinds of sauces and gravies, and mixing and cooking ingredients according to recipes using a variety of pots, pans, cutlery and other equipment. · Estimating food requirements and food supplies of the restaurant on a regular basis, and changing the menu according to the demands of the clientele. · Labelling, dating and storing food in temperature-controlled facilities. · Monitoring sanitation practices to ensure they meet the required standards and regulations.
