About our state-of-the-art Day Hospital Broadwater Private Day Hospital, one of our newest flagship facilities, is located on the Gold Coast and opened in mid-2023. This state-of-the-art day hospital specializes in a variety of surgical specialities, including General Surgery, Gynaecology, IVF, Ophthalmology, Paediatric Dental, and Plastic Surgery. A role with unique responsibilities The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the growth and utilisation of the day surgery by recruiting new surgeons, expanding specialty offerings, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. The BDM will play a pivotal role in ensuring the commercial success and clinical reputation of the facility, supporting both operational efficiency and strategic expansion. Your responsibilities will include: Drive surgeon recruitment and engagement across targeted specialties, supporting growth in theatre utilisation and case mix. Build strong relationships with surgeons and key stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for business needs. Develop and deliver business development strategies, including increasing referrals and expanding service lines. Represent the day surgery at industry events to promote services and attract new partnerships. Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of new surgeons and efficient theatre scheduling. Monitor market trends, prepare proposals, and provide reporting to support strategic decision-making. Are you the ideal candidate for us? The ideal candidate will recognise the importance of their role in driving the growth and success of our day surgery. You will combine business development expertise with strong relationship skills to attract, integrate, and retain surgeons while supporting the delivery of high-quality care. Ideally you will bring: Proven experience in business development, preferably within healthcare, day surgery, or hospital environments. Demonstrated success in recruiting and engaging medical specialists, particularly surgeons. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and commercial acumen. Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and market dynamics. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Health Management or related discipline Familiarity with the private health sector and health fund negotiations Satisfactory National Police Certificate Why work for us?
