There will be multiple positions available for both Strength & Conditioning/Rehabilitation and Sports Science roles spanning across both AFL and VFL programs. These placement opportunities will span training, with the potential for VFL match day involvement if circumstances allow. Strength & Conditioning/Reconditioning placement tasks and responsibilities include: Assist with gym set up and organisation prior to strength sessions Assist on the gym floor during strength sessions Assist in the administration of performance and load monitoring testing utilising VALD equipment and software Assist Reconditioning Coordinator with on-field sessions when required Assist in data management (e.g clean, report and analysing data) Work collaboratively within the high performance/medical team and other relevant staff (analysis/coaching) Sport Science placement tasks and responsibilities include: Assist in the allocation, distribution and collection of GPS units to players for training Assist with live data tracking and cutting using open field software Assist in the administration of performance and load monitoring testing utilising VALD equipment and software Assist in data management (e.g clean, report and analysing data) Work collaboratively within the high performance/medical team and other relevant staff (analysis/coaching) Placements will commence in November 2025 to September 2026. Contact hours will vary across the season, adaptable to university requirements and individual needs. Skills And Experiences ELIGIBILITY Students will have completed a minimum of 2 years of an undergraduate Exercise/Sports Science or equivalent degree and have an upcoming placement unit as part of their course. The successful candidate is required to hold a current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check. North is looking for reliable individuals with a willingness to learn, who possess the ability to thrive in a team environment, as well as take initiative and work independently when required. The successful applicants will be effective communicators who demonstrate a high level of professionalism and an exceptional work ethic. A passion for Australian Rules Football, some exposure to team sport and competence in excel is desirable.
