About ESS: ESS provides a home away from home for people working in remote mining villages. ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or “villages” for remote workers, providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home. The Position: We are seeking experienced Cleaners/ Caterers to join our team at Curtis Island on a Casual basis starting asap . Here, you will work alongside our professional team who strive to create a fun and safe work environment. Industrial Cleaning: Your tasks will include, but not limited to. Cleaning offices, cleaning toilet blocks, cleaning tea shacks, rubbish removal, restocking and cleaning crib huts, chemical handling. Kitchen Hand: Your tasks will include, but not limited to. Making sandwiches/ salads, cleaning the kitchen, dish/pot wash, rubbish removal, restocking food items, cleaning kitchen equipment, mopping/scrubbing floors, chemical handling, stock unloading, cleaning dining rooms, restocking bar/drink items, vacuuming/mopping, till operation, serving drinks To be considered for the role you must: Have previous cleaning/ catering experience Be able to work 20 hours minimum per week Be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment function and drug and alcohol screen Ability to work efficiently without supervision and as a team player Have current drivers licence and transport to get to and from the ferry daily (5am) Be a Gladstone local What’s in it for you?
