Emeco is hiring a Leading Hand – Heavy Diesel Technician for a permanent full-time position on our 2:2 FIFO roster from Perth to the Orelia Mine Site (just 80km NE of Leinster). On-site Facilities: Gym, wet mess, dry mess, squash court, basketball more Fortnightly pays: Fast access to cash Private Healthcare Discounts: Save on your next dental check up Permanent Full-Time Role: Find long term stability in your career Career Progression: We promote from within and invest in our people $5K Referral Bonus: Bring your mates and get rewarded What you'll be doing Leading day-to-day maintenance on Emeco’s fleet of Caterpillar, Hitachi, and Komatsu machines Supporting rental fleet servicing and breakdowns as needed Maintaining safety and compliance to all HSE policies and site procedures Working closely with site teams and stakeholders to deliver uptime targets and operational goals Driving a strong team culture that values safety, reliability, and performance What you bring to the team Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Fitter (Australian-recognised) Proven post-trade experience with large-scale mining equipment Leadership or supervisor experience on open cut mine sites HR Driver’s Licence (preferred) High-risk work licence (preferred – we also provide training!) A strong work ethic, safety-first mindset, and the ability to lead from the front Fleet you'll work on includes Caterpillar: D10T, 16M, 789C/D, 777D, 992G/K Hitachi: EX1200-7, EX2600-7 Liebherr: R9400 More gear arriving in 2025 – growth is on the horizon!
