We're looking for a friendly and proactive Library & Museum Assistant to join our Local Government Client on a part-time basis (27.5 hours per week). In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for the community-helping with library and museum services, assisting visitors with enquiries, processing loans and payments, and keeping our spaces welcoming and well-organised. Working hours: Part Time hours (27.5 hours per week) including Weekends Pay rate: $38ph Super Start date: ASAP Duration: Approx 2 months The Role Key responsibilities include: Providing friendly, professional frontline customer service Assisting visitors with enquiries, loans, returns, and payments Supporting research requests and basic technology troubleshooting Maintaining the presentation and organisation of library and museum collections Contributing to a safe, welcoming and engaging community space About you: Previous experience within a local Government environment Previous experience in a library, museum, or customer service environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational ability with attention to detail Confident using library systems, Microsoft Office, and POS systems Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Professional presentation and demeanor, with discretion and sound judgment in all matters.
