Business Development Manager - Commercial Air Piping and Pneumatics Pneumatics Direct Australia is currently the leading supplier to industry of quality aluminium and stainless-steel compressed air pipe systems and associated products and is seeking a new Business Development Manager to support and grow both existing and new business throughout the construction, engineering, manufacturing and mining sectors. Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will be responsible for: Growing sales of our piping system for supply and installation in Queensland, with current and new customers, through direct and indirect channels. Working to ensure tenders, installations and supply is completed to customer satisfaction, design and on schedule as quoted. Liaising with customers, and internal staff to provide turnkey solutions. Working with the customer base to develop their sales strategies and improve product turnover for the state. Achieving budgeted sales. Processing new sales leads including preparing and sending quotes and quotes follow up Quoting and presenting tender opportunities. Negotiate terms and conditions of sale with the client – payment terms, freight and sales contracts Developing the yearly strategic plan for the territory. Present sales results and opportunities to Management during sales consultations and conferences Travel as required to customer sites within QLD, Motivate, train and mentor new and existing distributors Provide product training to new and existing customers. Maintenance and update of own CRM pipeline. Supporting the internal sales and warehouse person to ensure orders are dispatched on time and stock is managed and maintained. To be successful in the role, we are looking for someone with: Proven sales experience with a Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical processes Compressed Air sales experience preferable Piping installation/project managing experience preferable Pneumatic experience would be beneficial but not essential A strong understanding of current business with the ability to identify new businesses and opportunities Working within sales budgets and maintaining profit margins. Ability to work within a distributorship market comprising of engineering and manufacturing OEMs would be an advantage. Strong negotiation skills at all levels of business Strong interpersonal skills as well as a willingness to learn, show initiative and work hard, with high commitment, self-responsibility and customer orientation Strong focus on solution sales and a consultative sales approach Strong networking ability with a hunter approach to uncovering sales opportunities.
