What’s on offer: Shutdown and project work across major CHPPs and mine sites DIDO & local options from surrounding QLD regions Camp accommodation and meals provided Strong flat rates - depending on role 12-hour paid shifts on shutdown or rolling rosters Work on coal, CHPP, and industrial sites across the Bowen Basin Roles We’re Looking For: Mechanical Fitters Diesel Fitters Boilermakers Riggers (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced) Electricians Skilled Trade Assistants (Mechanical, Electrical, Boilermaker) MSIC Holders for port shutdowns If you’re inducted to Glencore, BMA, Thiess, Whitehaven, Rio Tinto or Stanmore sites – we want to hear from you. What we’re looking for: Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience on fixed plant (crushers, conveyors, pumps, mills, etc.) Previous shutdown or major project experience highly regarded Ability to work in a fast-paced shutdown environment with minimal supervision Willingness to travel and commit to site rosters Minimum Requirements: Australian-recognised trade certificate (where applicable) Valid Standard 11 Coal Board Medical (must have access to it) Current Glencore, BMA, Thiess, Whitehaven, Rio Tinto or Stanmore site induction High Risk Work License (Riggers, Dogging, EWP etc.) Electrical License (for Electricians) Working at Heights, Confined Space (within 2 years) White Card Valid driver’s license MSIC (optional – highly regarded for port shutdowns) Full Australian working rights Able to pass D&A and PEM screening Why work for Engineering Trades Australia?
