We are currently seeking a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for laying ceramic, clay, slate, marble, and glass tiles on interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring both protective and decorative finishes that meet client expectations. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Interpret drawings and specifications to plan tile layouts and accurately mark surface reference points. Prepare work areas by stripping existing tiles, removing old adhesives, and repairing any imperfections or damage. Apply bonding materials to surfaces and tiles using appropriate tools to ensure secure placement. Cut and trim tiles with precision using manual or electric tile-cutting equipment to fit around corners, fixtures, and obstructions. Carefully place and press tiles into position, maintaining consistent spacing and alignment for a professional finish. Fill joints between tiles with grout, ensuring a clean, smooth appearance and removing excess material. Install waterproof membranes and sealants to prevent water penetration in wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. Construct durable tiled surfaces using materials like terrazzo, granolithic, or concrete-based mixtures when required. Design and install decorative tile layouts, including patterned or mosaic finishes, to enhance the visual appeal of tiled spaces. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to industry safety standards and site-specific requirements. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualifications. A minimum of one years' experience in a similar role. Attention to detail to ensure precise alignment, spacing, and finishes. Proficiency in using tiling tools and equipment. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between: $75,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
