The Role We are looking for an experienced Pattern Maker to join our client's womenswear team, with a strong focus on dresses and occasionwear . You will be responsible for translating design concepts into accurate patterns that balance creativity, technical precision, and commercial viability. Key Responsibilities Create accurate first patterns from design sketches, drapes, or CAD, with a specialty in dresses and dress-specific features (bodice, waist shaping, sleeves, drapes, and structured details). Work across a variety of fabrics (silk, crepe, chiffon, cotton, stretch, and embellished cloths) ensuring patterns support both fit and design intent. Collaborate closely with Designers, Machinists, and the Technical team to refine fit, construction, and grading. Conduct fittings, take notes, and update patterns accordingly for production readiness. Ensure patterns meet brand standards for silhouette, balance, and proportion while being efficient for sampling and manufacturing. Contribute technical expertise on construction methods, fabric behaviour, and garment finishing to achieve premium quality womenswear. Maintain digital and physical pattern libraries, ensuring patterns are organised and production-ready. About You Solid experience as a Pattern Maker in womenswear, with strong expertise in dresses . Skilled in both manual pattern Making and CAD systems (Gerber, Lectra, TUKAcad, or equivalent). Strong understanding of garment construction, grading, and fabric performance. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to problem-solve fit and construction challenges quickly. Collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with design and sample room teams.
