ENVIRONMENT SUPERINTENDENT Drive Positive Environmental Outcomes with Impact and Leadership At Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC), our values of Growth, Prosperity, and Community guide everything we do. We’re seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Environment Superintendent to lead our Environment Team and play a key role in upholding and enhancing GPC’s environmental performance and reputation. In this critical leadership role, you’ll report to the Safety & Environment Manager and provide strategic and technical environmental guidance across all GPC operations while leading a team of environmental professionals. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining our ISO14001:2015 certified Environmental Management System and delivering on our environmental commitments while strengthening our social license to operate. What You’ll Do Lead a high-performing team to implement, maintain and improve GPC’s environmental management practices. Drive the effective application of our ISO14001:2015 certified EMS and ensure compliance with environmental legislation. Provide expert compliance and risk advice to support operational decision-making. Represent GPC in regulatory and industry forums and liaise with local, state, and federal regulators. Foster positive stakeholder engagement, including supporting partnerships with community and research organisations. Provide information and input into environmental performance for the Executive Leadership Team, Board and shareholders. Manage budgets, resources, and team performance to align with strategic environmental goals and GPC’s values. What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience: Proven leadership experience in environmental management within a complex operational environment, preferably ports or marine. Strong working knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental legislation. Experience with ISO14001:2015 EMS implementation, monitoring, and auditing. High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated ability to influence cultural change and embed sustainability into operational practices. Experience in leading a team of environmental professionals Commitment to safety and fostering a positive HSE culture. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Science, Engineering or Natural Resources (or equivalent). Current Class C driver’s licence. Why GPC?
