Description The Opportunity: Kent is seeking a Permit To Work (PTW) Coordinator to join our Brisbane Projects team, supporting the Ampol Future Fuels Desulphurisation project. The PTW Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the permit issuing system, ensuring compliance with project permit policies and procedures. This role involves close collaboration with construction and completions teams, as well as subcontractors, to ensure the permit process is executed efficiently and with the highest safety standards for all parties involved. Your Day to Day Will Include: Manage the Kent Permit to Work System including development and system improvements to meet organisational standards and needs. Issue permits in accordance with Kent permit to work system procedures. Ensure permit clarity and accuracy prior to issuing permit, including defined scope of work, location of work, safe system of work, plant and equipment used to perform work, work party, SIMOPS and relevant risk assessments. Ensure accurate validation, re-validation, suspension, handover, closure, completion and filing of all work permits and supporting documentation. Check and monitor relevant qualifications, competency, licenses, and supervision relevant to permitting. Liaise with Project Safety Supervisor/Advisors to make sure all risk assessments have been carried out at the correct level and are attached to the permits. Field assurance of permitted work areas to ensure compliance with Permit conditions. Monitor external hazards that impact the Permit system, ie. client operations, weather conditions, construction activities and local conditions. Ensuring the work site has been left in a safe condition prior to closing any permit Attend regular construction meetings to understand daily job scope, provide updates on activity progress that impact work permit operations. Provide training to Project personnel in the Kent PTW process. About You: Our ideal candidate will have Permit Authority and Permit to Work (Gas) – High Risk Work certifications, a valid White Card, and at least 5 years of previous experience in health and safety or a trade, particularly within the construction, oil, and gas sectors.
