Due to a recent major contract award in Melbourne's South East , they are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Project Engineer to join their stable and cohesive team. The Opportunity My client is looking for a Project Engineer to be responsible for the technical planning, execution, and delivery of a key section of a newly awarded, multi-million dollar road project. This role offers direct accountability and significant exposure to the full project lifecycle. Key Accountabilities Include: Technical Management: Interpret and apply engineering designs, specifications, and technical standards to on-site work. Quality Assurance: Lead the implementation of the QA system, including ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), testing coordination, and material approvals. Employee Coordination: Manage the scope of work, technical performance, and schedules of directly employed staff, subcontractors and suppliers. Project Controls: Monitor progress against the program, manage variations, and assist the Project Manager with cost control and reporting. Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere strictly to OH&S, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Documentation: Prepare, submit, and track technical documentation, RFIs, and construction reports. Candidate Profile My client is looking for a focused engineer who values stability and technical challenge. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 4 years of post-graduate experience as a Project Engineer on civil infrastructure projects, ideally involving roads, highways, or major public works. Demonstrated understanding of Victorian civil construction standards and safety legislation. Proven ability to manage project quality systems and technical documentation. Excellent communication skills required for effective liaison with site teams, consultants, and management.
