Role PurposeThe Operations Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of all operational activities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. This role will take ownership of the delivery function of the business, leading the project team, improving systems, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead and manage the project delivery team and office manager.Build a high-performance culture that is aligned with company values.Set clear expectations, drive accountability, and address underperformance swiftly and constructively.Mentor, coach and support professional development across the team. Project DeliveryOversee day-to-day operations across multiple shopfitting projects.Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are consistently met.Support Project Managers with planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination. Process & Systems ImprovementReview and refine operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Ensure robust documentation, scheduling, and tracking systems are in place and actively used.Implement tools and practices to support better team communication and visibility of workloads. Commercial & Financial OversightManage operational budgets, tracking costs and ensuring project profitability.Work closely with the business owner to provide operational insights for quoting and delivery decisions. Client & Stakeholder CoordinationLiaise internally with estimating, sales and the business owner to ensure alignment on client expectations.Support external suppliers, subcontractors and site teams with clear communication and logistics coordination. Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with WHS requirements on all sites.Oversee risk assessments and safety plans across operations. Skills & Experience5 years’ experience in an operations or senior project management role (preferably in construction/shopfitting).Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to build culture and drive accountability.Strong understanding of commercial project delivery processes.Confident managing teams, budgets, timelines, and operational systems.Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.Ability to command respect, set clear standards, and support change management.
