About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team. This role is responsible for the management, administration, and support of MLC Libraries’ technologies, ensuring our libraries remain at the forefront of innovation. Working across both our Secondary (Walton Library) and Junior School Libraries, the Librarian will: Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of library technology and online resource strategies. Manage and maintain the library's management system, WorldShare Library Management System, WorldCat Discovery, and other digital platforms. Oversee and enhance the MLC Libraries’ website and online presence. Collaborate with Teacher Librarians and academic staff to support teaching, learning, and research needs. Provide high-level reference and information services to staff and students. Administer budgets relating to library technology and online resources. Contribute to strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives within MLC Libraries. About You: You will be a dynamic and innovative professional who brings expertise in library systems and digital technologies, along with a passion for supporting student learning. You will also have: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Sciences (eligibility for ALIA Associate membership). Experience in managing automated library systems, reference databases, and digital resources. Strong cataloguing knowledge and project management experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office, web editing (HTML5, CSS), and emerging digital technologies. A current Working With Children Check. Desirable Criteria: Experience with WorldShare LMS. Knowledge of emerging library technologies and their application in education. Curiosity and enthusiasm for innovation in libraries. Why Join MLC?
