Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following: Member of the Senior School Executive team Acquire a thorough knowledge of the students in their care via the various student data setsWork closely with Student Mentors, Learning Diversity, Counselling, Health Centre, Boarding House, Coordinators of International Students, Indigenous Programs, Deputy Heads, staff, and parents/ guardians Work with the Deputy Head to ensure that student wellbeing programs are planned, documented and reviewedSupport and guide Mentor staff regarding student wellbeing issuesLead, inform, support and encourage Mentor and subject teachersEnsure all documentation regarding communication with families is up to date Lead and coordinate student support meetingsAttend regular student wellbeing meetings with the Deputy Head/ Head of School to provide a summary of student issues in their groupOrganise orientation and transition programs for current and new students into Senior SchoolConduct House Assemblies and attend eventsUnderstand the SEAS (Special Entry Access Scheme) Understand and provide counsel to the three course structures offered in the Senior School (VCE, IB, and VCE VET) Attend the Senior School Parent Information Evening, Year 12 Formal, Year 11 Social, Prefect Thank You Function, Valedictory Dinner and Senior School Celebration Evening Have a current knowledge of House activities to support the various House Captains; foster House spirit though involvement through House activities; be a support and role model to the House Captains and House Committee membersDelegate for the Deputy Head of School, as requested The school MLC is a leading independent girls' day and boarding school in the inner east of Melbourne.
