Every year we support more than 20,000 people with new skills, confidence and opportunities across New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT.About the Role Following our recent success in securing the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) tender, MTC has exciting opportunities for motivated and client-focused Employment Consultants/Practitioners to join our Employment Services team at locations across the Sydney Metropolitan Area including Bankstown, Cabramatta, Hurstville, Liverpool, Marrickville and Parramatta.Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Employment Practitioner will be responsible for supporting individuals with disability, injury or health conditions to achieve meaningful and sustainable employment outcomes. The key responsibilities of this role include:Conducting comprehensive appointments with participants to assess individual circumstances, identify vocational and non-vocational barriers, and develop individualised job plans.Developing meaningful connections with participants to assess their capabilities and goals and provide tailored interventions that enhance their readiness for employment.Ensuring accurate documentations and compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and performance benchmarks.Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities and promote inclusive recruitment practices.Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including allied health professional, training providers and community organisations.Conducting risk assessment and implement timely actions to mitigate identified risks.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Lived experience or relevant experience working with people with a disabilityQualifications in employment or disability services highly regardedDeep understanding IEA guidelines, compliance and performance frameworks.Proven leadership experience within employment services.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage conflict, influence outcomes and support challenging behaviours.Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to engage with diverse communities.Passion for inclusive employment and supporting people with disability.A valid, unrestricted driver’s licence.Why Choose Us For us, it’s more than just work.
