My Speech & OT Centre is a personalised, family centred and neuroaffirming clinic that provides new learnings to occur in a calm and supportive environment. Located in Ashmore in central Gold Coast, we operate from 10am to 6pm, allowing staff to balance family commitments and avoid the busy traffic periods. By following the clients lead, clinicians provide unique opportunities that are interesting and challenging. Creativity is a key in this workplace. The clinic staff build strength through their difference and this provides a tight working environment where learning from each other is a given. Not a day passes where staff aren’t asking questions. Our families come from diverse backgrounds and needs, and we celebrate this. From the 18mth old to the 35 year old, we have OT and speech pathology staff who work together to provide the highest standard of service. Speech, language, voice, fluency, AAC, literacy and social communication assessment and therapy occur at the clinic and in local childcares and schools. Working with our families we structure our sessions around client need. Joint sessions with an OT, individual speech pathology sessions as well as small groups.
