Service at Shobosho is fast-paced, fun, and friendly, with a relaxed yet informed style that complements the delicious food for a great dining experience. @shobosho @sho_yakitori FOH Casual – Food & Beverage Attendant (Level 2) 25 hours per week | 30 hours for very strong applicants We're looking for a couple of absolute guns to join our FOH team – people with proven experience in busy, high-calibre restaurants who can hit the floor running. If you're a superstar with the right skills and attitude, there's plenty of room to grow within the business. What we're looking for: Minimum 2 years' experience in a comparable restaurant environment (100 covers on weeknights, ranging to 150 over weekends, fast-paced, detail-oriented service). Strong food and beverage knowledge – WSET Level 1 or 2 qualifications highly regarded. Passion for all things delicious – food, beverage, and hospitality. Flexible availability, including nights and weekends. We're a 7-day venue (dinner only Mon–Wed; lunch dinner Thurs–Sun). Casual staff must be available at least 2 of the 3 weekend nights (Fri/Sat/Sun). We’re mindful of work–life balance, avoiding clopen shifts where possible and being considerate with time-off requests. Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification required Australian work rights or valid work visa required Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional table service with confidence and personality. Provide knowledgeable recommendations across food, wine, sake, and cocktails. Create a positive, memorable dining experience for every guest. Demonstrate strong product knowledge and share it in an engaging way. Preferred abilities: Good wine knowledge. Previous experience in a similar role. Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sake. An enthusiastic, friendly, and professional demeanour. What we offer: 25 hours for strong applicants; 30 for very strong applicants.
