About Our Business & Facility Goodwin Tennis is a vibrant, community-driven tennis and pickleball Academy located in Port Macquarie on the beautiful Mid North Coast. We’re not just a place to play, we’re a place to belong. Our facility includes multiple tennis and pickleball courts, pro shop, full-time staff, social programs, school holiday clinics, tournaments and performance pathways. Our mission is to positively impact the mental, physical and social well-being of our community through sport. We offer everything from junior group lessons and private coaching to adult cardio, social comps, league, school programs and more. With strong values around inclusion, positivity and professionalism, we’ve built a loyal and growing membership base. We’re now ready to expand and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed coach to join our high-performing, close-knit team. Primary Responsibilities Deliver group coaching for juniors (Hot Shots) and adults Provide private tennis coaching (and/or pickleball coaching if qualified) Support Cardio Tennis, social comps, school sessions and holiday clinics Maintain a positive and welcoming on-court environment in line with our coaching philosophy, vision, mission and values. Track player progress using our competency-based assessment system Collaborate with our leadership team to support club events, marketing and retention goals Assist in our emerging innovative programs Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated passion for coaching and growing the game Experience working with children and/or adults in group or private coaching Ability to adapt communication and coaching style to suit all levels Friendly and professional with a strong team-oriented mindset Strong commitment to continuous learning and following brand coaching systems Skills & Experience Tennis Australia Junior Development as a minimum Current Working With Children Check (NSW) First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain) Pickleball coaching experience a bonus – training can be provided Confident with on-court progressions and working in a team environment Customer service skills and ability to liaise with parents and players Previous experience in coaching school programs or clinics advantageous Days / Hours Per Week Depending on your goals and availability: Full- time option: 38 hours/week Part-time option: Minimum 15 hours/week Flexibility with mornings, afternoons, evenings and Saturdays Some Sunday work required (e.g., special events or tournaments) Hours will include both coaching and light admin/event support as needed Additional Requirements Must have own transport Must be available to work across multiple locations in Port Macquarie if required Willingness to support across tennis, pickleball and emerging formats Right to work in Australia To apply, please send your CV and a short cover letter to matt @goodwintennis.com.au Have questions?
