CoMade are currently seeking experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineering Technicians to join the team to work on a major infrastructure project. The primary purpose of this role is to successfully perform testing and verification of high voltage assets. We are offering full time opportunities and paying between $110K - $130K base salaries plus 12% superannuation. The High Voltage Electrical Engineering Technicians will work in substations and switchyards with exposure to voltage levels from 3.3kV to 220kV. A key requirement of this role is to utilise and operate high voltage Omicron test equipment to produce test reports for review & sign-off. You will have at least 7 years of site-based experience in commissioning & testing of substation assets in HV primary equipment – Transformers, Switchgear, CT’s & Cables and / or HV secondary systems including relays, logic testing of relays, relay protection testing, cause & effect testing, IEC61850 goose messaging testing. You must be proficient in the use of Omicron HV test equipment including CMC-356, CPC-100, CT Analyser, CPTD1 (power factor) and FR Analyzer (SFRA). Hold an Electrical Engineering degree or provide other equivalent certification for performing such a role and deep experience in preparing detailed technical reports and documenting test results on assets including: AC to DC Power converters Un-interruptible Power Supplies and associated battery banks HiPOT Testing on HV assets (switchboards, Transformers, overhead lines) VLF testing on cables DC systems Low voltage AC distribution systems ( You will are ideally suited to substation commissioning and testing and for those who have worked in utilities, Oil & Gas industries or come from a mining background with the test & commissioning experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
