The Role We are seeking an Experienced Mill Hand to join our feed mill operation in Casino, NSW. This is a hands-on role within the agricultural processing industry, working in a fast-paced production environment where safety, teamwork, and attention to detail are key. Key Responsibilities As a Mill Hand, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and safe operation of feed processing. Your day-to-day duties will include: Operating and monitoring mill machinery and equipment, including crushers, mixers, pellet mills, conveyors, bagging machines and process control software Reporting quality and production issues to the Production Manager promptly Following SOPs and safety guidelines at all times Assisting with loading and unloading raw materials and finished products Performing regular quality checks, including weight, pellet durability and moisture content Conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment Keeping the work area clean, organised, and compliant with sanitation protocols Recording accurate production data, quality checks, and maintenance logs Working collaboratively with the production team to meet targets and maintain a smooth workflow Participating in training on equipment, safety, and industry updates Benefits This role offers a range of benefits, including: $30.35 per hour plus penalty rates Potential ongoing employment with opportunities to build a stable career in agriculture Approx. 38 hours per week , with flexibility for additional hours when required Supportive, safety-focused environment with training provided Opportunities to develop additional skills such as forklift operation and boiler attendant certification.
