Your Role at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospital You will be a suitably qualified and experienced Emergency Consultant, able to provide specialist emergency services to adult and paediatric patients. The Position Provide clinical management of emergency department patients. Maintain ethical and respectful behaviour to all staff and patients. Awareness of indigenous customs and community expectations in considering how best to look after, admit or discharge indigenous patients. Participate fully in the doctors’ roster including after hours on call duties, as agreed with the Head of Department. Supervise junior medical staff, including assessment of clinical performance and behaviour, documentation, discharge summaries, communication with patients and families, cultural awareness in regard to indigenous patients and communities, awareness of cultural and language diversity in the community. Participate as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment. You will be a Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or have equivalent professional membership and have demonstrated substantial clinical experience in the management of high acuity patients in a complex hospital environment. You will demonstrate the ability to build a collaborative team in the delivery of high-quality specialist medical care, including driving clinical quality initiatives.
