Optical Assistant (Casual) - On Point Optical, Glebe On Point Optical is a brand-new independent practice opening in the heart of Glebe. We’re passionate about delivering exceptional eyecare and eyewear, and we’re looking for a friendly, motivated Optical Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. About the Role Casual position: Saturdays 9am-1pm (with potential for additional hours). Hourly rate: $30.91-$37.10 (commensurate with experience). Perfect for a student or someone looking to grow into the optical industry. What You’ll Do Provide welcoming, patient focused service at the front of house. Assist with eyewear selection and basic dispensing support. Contribute to a smooth, professional patient journey. Learn and grow in a supportive environment alongside experienced optometrists and dispensers. What We’re Looking For Previous experience in health, retail, or customer service (especially in a technical role) is highly regarded. A positive, “never stop learning” attitude - open to growth and asking questions. Passionate about helping people live their best through quality eyewear and eyecare. Friendly, efficient, and a true team player. Language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean will be a great advantage. Why Join Us?
