About the Role We are seeking highly motivated, flexible, and agile candidates to support families from the postnatal period to school age. You will foster partnerships that promote optimal health and wellbeing. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the physical, emotional, and social factors affecting families today and experience in implementing innovative strategies to support engagement. Key responsibilities and duties Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse communities Knowledge and skills relevant to the provision of the Victorian Local Government Maternal and Child Health service Well-developed understanding of women’s health issues, particularly post-natal depression, and the ability to use the Edinburgh Post Natal Depression Scale Knowledge of the specific needs of families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD), including First Nations families Experience in facilitating community education/health promotion programs for infants, young children, and their families Understanding of Child Information Sharing Schemes, Family Violence Information Sharing Schemes, MARAM, and Child Safe Standards Culture People enjoy working at the City of Port Phillip because we are a welcoming, healthy and inclusive workplace.
