As our Senior Fleet Officer, you will: Coordinate Fleet Operations: Support day-to-day vehicle coordination across all depots, ensuring timely availability and alignment with operational priorities under the direction of the Senior Fleet Officer. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance: Monitor vehicle condition and cleanliness, schedule routine servicing and urgent repairs, and conduct inspections to maintain roadworthiness and minimise downtime. System & Record Management: Maintain accurate fleet data using LogbookMe, including usage, servicing, faults, and fuel consumption, and assist with audits and compliance checks. Driver Support & Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for vehicle bookings, key allocations, and user access, supporting staff across multiple depots and promoting adherence to safety and operational protocols. Fuel & Cost Control: Track and reconcile fuel card usage, identify anomalies, and support initiatives to improve fuel efficiency and cost management. Fleet Administration & Reporting: Maintain driver license and training records, assist with procurement and stock management for vehicle equipment, and contribute to internal reporting and planning. While not mandatory: Prior experience in a fleet or logistics working environment or similar role rather than fleet Tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field are desirable. Proficiency in using computerised fleet management software and tools. Valid forklift licence or experience with high-reach equipment is advantageous. Why join the department?
