About the role The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) provides operational management in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NG7). In supporting the NUM, the ANUM provides leadership and direction to Nursing staff and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of safe, quality and cost-effective nursing care consistent with contemporary standards and best practice within the Emergency Department. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrate advanced level clinical and problem-solving skills; expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management and provision of person-centred care. Build good rapport with patients and effectively prioritise and plan own time to deliver a flexible and holistic person-centred care and service within designated timeframes. Demonstrate an understanding of policies and guidelines in relation to safe quality care. Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage human, material and financial resources utilising the Business Planning Framework to ensure fiscal responsibilities. Demonstrate an understanding and application of the Life Long Learning framework to inform practice resulting in a capable, competent and safe healthcare team. Demonstrate knowledge and application of an evidence-based practice framework resulting in improved practice outcomes. Demonstrate application of advanced clinical leadership through effective delegation, communication, problem solving and critical thinking. Demonstrate a very high standard of personal and professional behaviour and creates a culture that reinforces personal and professional standards. Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competence in advanced nursing practice and theory; linking care to key objectives and performance indicators. Working with integrity and commitment to patient and departmental goals.
