The key duties of the position include We are looking for an experienced communications professional who can manage AFMA's websites, SharePoint site and social media channels. In addition, we're looking for someone who can develop content governance processes, documentation and resources and train the AFMA staff in their use. About the team The People, Capability and Engagement Section is responsible for AFMA's operational and strategic human resources and communications functions. We provide high quality client service, and strong an effective advice, guidance and support to AFMA staff and the Executive across a range of HR areas including workforce planning, workplace relations, performance, conduct, work, health and safety, learning and development and recruitment. The Communications and Media team is responsible for the development and implementation of both short-term and long-term projects including, but not limited to, AFMA's social media channels, media management and engagement, stakeholder engagement, communications strategies, website and intranet. In this section you will have exposure to work with staff at all levels across AFMA's three branches and four offices in Canberra, Lakes Entrance, Darwin and Thursday Island. The position The Senior Communications Officer is a client-focused role that delivers communication products for both internal and external audiences using multiple channels including web, media, social media, and events. The Senior Communications Officer will lead content strategy approach for AFMA's digital presence both internally and externally. You will foster and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and our external clients and partners, including industry associations and digital and design agencies. Demonstrating great communication skills, the Senior Communications Officer is a communications all-rounder, able to write, create and review a range of communication material for different channels, with a clear understanding of how the messages will be received by target audiences and internal stakeholders.
