An important component of this is to provide centralised communication and engagement functions. Visual Design services: enhancing outputs to build a professional, future focused brand. Including videography, photography, editing, animation and graphic design. We're communication and engagement practitioners with a whole of group view, vast network of stakeholders, agile mindset and specialist expertise. About the role The Assistant Director, Visual Communication Design leads a small team of designers to develop visual communication outputs that engage a large, diverse workforce. This includes leading the delivery of high-quality visual design products that engage end users, whilst meeting the needs of stakeholders. They identify and advocate user needs and ensure the final design is fit for purpose. This includes complex design concepts through a variety of mediums, including illustrations, digital, web, print, animation, photography and videography. Assistant Directors foster partnerships with key stakeholders to assist in the development and implementation of operational policy, strategy, procedures, work output and quality. This involves a considerable degree of independence and leadership capability. The key duties of the position include Leading the graphic and creative design output process for communication products. Ideation, storyboard, pitch and development of video content, including animation. Undertake photography and videography services. Leading the production of data visualisations and infographics based on complex data sets or on analysis reports. Developing and managing key stakeholder relationships, negotiating requirements and developing appropriate products based on stakeholder needs. Maintaining a strong understanding of user accessibility requirements. Designing and publishing outputs that meet the needs of a diverse audience. Leading and managing staff including prioritisation of work, overseeing the management of performance, attendance, health and wellbeing. Developing staff capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning to increase performance, engagement and retention.
