About the Role St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Risk and Safety Adviser. This pivotal role strengthens risk and governance practices across all College sites, supporting strategic decision-making and operational excellence. Reporting to the Director of Risk, Compliance and Assurance, you’ll help maintain accurate risk profiles, contribute to effective control design, and act as the key contact for Work Health and Safety. Working closely with Health and Safety representatives at the College's Springfield and Ironbark sites, you’ll support incident and audit processes while fostering a culture of accountability and improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional in risk, compliance and safety to help build a resilient, high-performing organisation that reflects the College’s mission of Excellence in Christian Co-Education Key Responsibilities Support the development, implementation, and review of the College’s Risk Management Framework and risk registers. Coordinate risk assessments for College activities, excursions, and events. Administer the Work Health and Safety (WHS) function across all College sites, including audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Maintain the College’s WHS Management System and ensure compliance with the WHS Act 2011. Develop and manage the College’s compliance obligations register and calendar. Support internal audits, accreditation processes, and implementation of corrective actions. Assist with emergency preparedness, business continuity planning, and staff training. Prepare high-quality reports and provide strategic advice on emerging risks and compliance matters. Deliver training programs and workshops to build staff capability in safety and regulatory compliance.
