Glenorchy City Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Leader to join our team in a newly created role as a Coordinator Human Resources. This key leadership role provides strategic and operational support across the organisation. Reporting to the Manager People & Culture, you will supervise and develop a team which comprises of a Human Resources Business Partner, HR Support Officer and Learning & Organisational Development Advisor. In this strategic role, you will collaborate with leaders and staff across the organisation to provide expert advice and guidance on a broad range of HR functions, including workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development. Your ability to implement best-practice people strategies, cultivate a positive workplace culture, and drive continuous improvement will be critical to your success. Key Responsibilities : Lead, develop, and mentor the Human Resources Team. Provide expert support to managers and employees on employee relations matters. Oversight of the Enterprise Agreement, assisting the Manager People & Culture with reviews and updates. Develop and implement HR strategies to foster a sustainable, high-performing workforce. Lead and contribute to HR projects that enhance employee engagement and wellbeing, contributing to a positive organisational culture. About You: To be successful in this role, you will have substantial experience in a similar HR position, coupled with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
