The role: This Accounts payable officer will play a key role in the Finance team, responsible for managing the accounts payable function including processing invoices, staff reimbursements, credit card reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting. This role also contributes to maintaining efficient and accurate accounting systems within a school setting. Key Responsibilities: Manage staff reimbursements and petty cash. Receive, authorise, and code invoices for the creditor’s ledger. Reconcile creditor statements and manage weekly payments. Process EFT payments and ensure proper documentation. Maintain accurate filing and records, including archiving. Prepare BAS statements and monthly credit card reconciliations. Generate reports on fixed assets and depreciation. Assist with Uniform Shop accounting and stocktaking. Support broader finance functions as required. Skill and Experience: Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role. Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High-level proficiency in MS Office and financial systems. Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances. Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive team player. Maintains confidentiality and a professional demeanour.
