The Role As a TAFE Teacher in Academy of Sport, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting. We have an exciting temporary part-time (0.72FTE) Teacher position available until 18 December 2026 (unless otherwise determined) to join our Academy of Sport team delivering in the SIT50322 Diploma of Event Management, specialising in sport and major venues (light and sound production) at TAFE Queensland's South Bank Campus. This position reports to the Education Manager, Academy of Sport. Salary The salary range for a Teacher is $66,909.62 - $75,757.03 per (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary. Benefits Four (4) weeks recreation leave (accrued annually) Five (5) weeks Non-Attendance Time programmed annually for preparation Professional development, study assistance and support to return to industry for currency and competency purposes Access to private health corporate plans and corporate discounts (e.g. Fitness Passport, Apple products, Dell products, Lenovo products) Mandatory Requirements Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed; Diploma of Event Management Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials: TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or: TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or A secondary teaching qualification and one (1) of the following credentials: TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or A higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education; and Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; Current evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
