Description Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Investment Banking Associate to join our team in Melbourne, focusing on delivering investment banking services for a wide range of industries. The successful candidate will play a critical role in executing M&A deals, capital raising activities, and providing strategic advice to clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities: Support senior bankers in originating, structuring, and executing M&A transactions, equity and debt offerings, and other financial advisory services in Australia. Conduct industry research, financial analysis, and valuation assessments to assist in client pitches and transaction processes. Take leadership and ownership in the development of financial models, pitch books, and presentation materials for client meetings and transactions. Coordinate due diligence processes, manage data rooms, and liaise with legal, compliance, and other internal teams to ensure deal execution is seamless. Build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, and industry contacts to identify new business opportunities and expand the firm's presence in the region. Actively mentor and train junior team members to increase their proficiency and expertise, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking or finance related roles, ideally with prior exposure to M&A, capital markets, or corporate finance transactions. Strong financial analysis and modelling skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and proactiveness. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
