This senior leadership role presents a unique opportunity to drive performance across our award-winning winery, cellar door, wine club, and the Nagambie Brewery & Distillery, ensuring Mitchelton maintains its standing as one of Australia’s iconic brands. The Role Reporting directly to the Owner, the General Manager will have strategic and operational responsibility for growing sales across domestic, export, and direct-to-consumer channels. With oversight of production and operations, the role centres on strengthening distribution networks, enhancing the cellar door and wine club offering, building brand presence nationally and internationally, and leading highly skilled teams across the winery, brewery, and hospitality divisions. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute sales strategies across domestic, export, cellar door, and wine club channels. Build and strengthen trade partnerships with distributors, retailers, and export agents. Oversee cellar door operations to deliver an exceptional visitor and tasting experience. Drive wine club growth through innovative campaigns and member engagement. Develop and implement strategic brand plans to enhance recognition and growth. Oversee financial management including P&L, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure operational excellence and compliance across winery, sales, brewery, and distillery production. Champion product innovation, sustainability initiatives, and premium quality standards. Mentor and manage senior staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. About You We are seeking a proven leader with: Executive-level experience in wine, beer, spirits, or related FMCG industries. A strong history in sales growth, distribution management, and brand development. Experience overseeing direct-to-consumer channels including cellar door and wine club programs. Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L, and forecasting. Knowledge of production, compliance, and operations within beverage or hospitality businesses. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire high-performing teams. Excellent communication and negotiation ability, with a global business mindset.
