As a Painter at Crystal Services Group, you will be responsible for preparing and applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to residential and commercial surfaces. This position requires a strong eye for detail, consistency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities and Tasks: Prepare surfaces, repairing imperfections with filler, and sanding to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish. Measure, blend, and adjust paints, stains, and varnishes to match specified colours and textures, incorporating thinners or additives when necessary. Apply coatings with brushes, rollers, or spraying systems, maintaining consistent coverage and professional finish across all surfaces. Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and the worksite by carrying out thorough cleaning after each job. Set up access equipment such as ladders and scaffolding, and shield surrounding areas with protective covers to prevent overspray or accidental marks. Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental practices, including correct ventilation, waste disposal, and use of personal protective gear. Calculate the required quantities of paint, materials, and labour hours to assist with costings and efficient scheduling of work. Provide guidance to clients regarding colour schemes, surface finishes, and decorative options when requested. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Painter Familiarity with various painting techniques, tools and equipment. Good communication skills and a professional attitude. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $90.000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
