We're excited to welcome an Oral Health Therapist to our Oral Health Service!The Oral Health Therapist Clinical Educator & Peer Support is positioned within the Oral Health Therapy stream but is delegated to deliver high level education services and leadership across Oral Health Services.Within this scope, the role will have accountability to provide or support the delivery of education and training to students and clinicians working in clinical practice across the Oral Health Service. In addition, there will be a requirement to participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the profession's practitioner development programs. Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. Key responsiilities include: Contribute to positive patient outcomes by applying advanced educational skills and clinical knowledge within the context of practice development, e.g. coordinate, contribute to and develop clinical competencies and interprofessional education. Initiate, plan and lead clinical and/or broad professional research activities and lead the integration of evidence-based practice, e.g. facilitating the development of the profession's clinical practices, procedures and protocols. Demonstrates effective communication skills by working cooperatively and effectively with tertiary institutions, state authorities, Student Hub, other clinical educators, and staff within the health care team, including patients and clients. Supports strategic direction by applying education methodologies to improve clinical practice through engaging with key stakeholders to lead change management and policy/procedure development in conjunction with the Oral Health Management team. Remuneration value up to $157 359 p.a., comprising salary between $128 169 - $137 918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
