The key duties of the position include The Role As the sole member of Air and Space Power Centre (ASPC) Multimedia and Communications area, the APS 6 Multimedia and Content Manager is responsible to Director ASPC for: The implementation, management and promotion of ASPC's internal and external web and social media presence. The management of Hangar 46 - ASPC's podcast including, but not limited to, question design, recording, post-production editing and publishing and distribution. Brand engagement and promotion, including increasing ASPC's stakeholder engagement, relationship and reputation management. Provide technical support to the Air and Space Power Conference and CAF Symposium (alternating years) including stage set up, streaming, lighting, audio and video requirements. Be responsive to DASPC directed tasks that relate to any media and communications effects. About our Team The Air and Space Power Centre provides opportunities to 'consume, contribute to and contest' ideas around air and space power in order to advance Defence's air and space power. The Centre curates and publishes written product ranging from blog articles to comprehensive research papers, and manages fellowships and secondments including sponsored Masters and PhD programs. The Centre contributes the air and space power perspective to Australian Defence Force doctrine, and manages the Air Power and Space Power professional military education curriculum and delivery standards. The Air and Space Power Centre contributes to the contest of ideas on air and space as part of joint capability through regular seminars and conferences, including the Air and Space Power Conference. ASPC is supported by a network of editors, graphics and communications personnel, alongside the Defence Publishing Service. Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal person is someone who can bring their high level of technical skills into a dynamic environment and support the Centre to communicate and proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in managing conference audio visual requirements and podcast technical management is essential. This person will have a good understanding of strategic communications effects and be able to manage relationships across the organisation to achieve the required effects. We would like someone who is a self-starter and can work well within an integrated team of academics, Australian and foreign military, Australian Public Service and our external stakeholder groups, as well as the Air Force Communications team. This person will be able to demonstrate an ability to manage a small team and potential growth within the role.
