The Opportunity Do you have a passion for horticulture and a keen interest in maintaining gardens and landscapes? Join our Commercial Operations & Property team as a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice and help keep our tourist parks looking their best. As an Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced supervisors to maintain gardens, lawns, and facilities, ensuring our parks are safe, welcoming, and beautifully presented for visitors. You’ll gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Horticulture – setting you up with practical skills and industry knowledge that will open the pathway to a career in Horticulture. What You’ll Learn: Practical horticulture skills including planting, pruning, and turf care Safe use and maintenance of gardening tools and machinery • Basic landscaping and irrigation techniques • Workplace safety and environmental practices • Teamwork and communication in a professional setting We are looking for someone who: Is eligible to enrol in a Certificate III in Horticulture in 2026 Has not completed or is currently studying a Certificate III or higher in this field and has as less than 6 months of experience in a similar role Is 16 years or over and have completed Yr 10 with a Record of School Achievement Holds a valid current P1 Drivers Licence Enjoys working outdoors and taking pride in maintaining high-quality green spaces Is reliable and self-motivated to take responsibility for their own development and learning Has the appropriate literacy, numeracy, and digital skills to support their learning to manage the educational and professional requirements of the traineeship Works well in a team, takes pride in their work, and has a keen eye for detail Seeks and accepts constructive feedback from others.
