About the role: Reporting to the Network Manager, Non-Invasive Cardiac Investigations both operationally and professionally, some of your duties for the role will include: Independently performing routine diagnostic tests in the disciplines of echocardiography, intervention and ambulatory monitoring Undertake routine ambulatory diagnostic testing including ECGs, Holter, BP and Event monitoring, with responsibilities spanning patient preparation and education, device fitting, data analysis, reporting, and escalation of urgent findings Provide clinical supervision, support and oversight of the ambulatory monitoring service, and of junior allied health professionals, technical and support staff Assist cardiologists with Exercise Stress Echocardiography, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography and Transoesophageal Echocardiography Share clinical experience by participating in peer support, presenting case studies at staff meetings and reporting on workshops, seminars, and conferences attended Liaise effectively with clinical and multidisciplinary staff About you: A degree in Science or Applied Science or equivalent- Post graduate qualification in cardiac Ultrasound or Cardia Electrophysiology- Accreditation as a Medical Sonographer with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR) Ability to co-ordinate day to day activities of self, including provision of supervision, support and training of junior staff Current experience and up to date knowledge of adult Echocardiography as provided in a tertiary care hospital Current experience and up-to-date knowledge of adult Holter Monitoring, including device setup, troubleshooting, ECG data analysis, preliminary reporting, and correlation of clinical findings with patient symptom diaries Experience in 3D Echocardiography, contrast Echocardiography, and Strain analysis An understanding of the care of the patient undergoing Transoesophageal Echocardiography Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
