About the role MSS Security is seeking a dedicated Full Time Security Officer to join our team at La Trobe University in Bendigo. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the campus. You will be responsible for conducting foot patrols, securing buildings and supporting students, staff, and visitors. Duties include but are not limited to: Conduct foot patrols of campuses, mostly outdoors. Escort people around the campus. Ensure property is locked and unlocked as required. Direct and assist people to navigate around the campus. Write reports in response to incidents. Ideal candidates will have: Proven security industry experience (highly desirable). Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster. Ability to walk up to 15-20 km a day. Excellent communication skills. Requirements: Full Australian working rights. Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher). Valid Victorian Security Licence. Victorian Drivers licence with no restrictions. Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain). Valid First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain).
