The Role: What You'll Be Doing This is a diverse and hands-on role with a primary focus on bookkeeping and administrative support. You will work closely with the Office Manager, Cathy, in a small office environment. Financial Administration: Handling accounts receivable for Medicare and private health funds, along with bank and financial account reconciliations . Billing & Invoicing: Managing patient billing and invoicing processes. Accounts & Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll, end-of-period reporting, and supporting the business's accountants. Patient Administration: Managing patient admissions for public and private hospitals, as well as medical records and appointments. Reception Duties: Providing crucial reception cover and handling phone inquiries. General Office Support: Supporting the Office Manager with a variety of administrative tasks. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have the right skills and a strong work ethic to contribute to the team immediately. Essential: Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting duties . Must be proficient in MYOB and Excel. Proven experience working in a fast pace setting (medical experience isn't essential) A mature, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude with a strong work ethic. Confident and professional phone manner with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Medicare procedures or workers' compensation processes is a bonus. Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Camperdown.
