Job Description Sydney | Hybrid | Full-time | High-growth SaaS scaleup About the Opportunity We’re working with a well-funded global SaaS scale-up that has just raised US$80M to fuel their next stage of growth. They already power millions of user interactions around the world every month, and now they’re expanding their product and engineering footprint into Sydney. As part of this expansion, they’re creating new incubation squads dedicated to building 0→1 products in the areas of marketing and loyalty. These squads will run with the autonomy and pace of a startup, while being backed by the reach, scale, and resources of a global business. This is your chance to join at the ground floor of a new chapter — shaping products that will have a direct impact on how communities engage, connect, and grow. Why this role Greenfield design challenges : Build and ship new guest engagement products from scratch, not just iterate on existing features. Cross-functional ownership : Designers are part of the product strategy and direction conversations, not just execution. Design-first culture : The team is psychologically safe, open, and transparent, with design seen as a differentiator. Fast-moving environment : Work in an agile setup where new products are expected to ship in 2–3 months. Global scale : Your work will touch millions of people around the world Funding stability : Backed by US$80M in fresh investment and already proven in market What You’ll Do Drive end-to-end design across B2B and B2C experiences - from concepting and research to pixel-perfect delivery. Conduct your own user interviews and usability testing, with support from central research where needed. Work closely with PMs and engineers to shape product direction, balancing strategic vision with delivery. Apply and evolve the design system (already mature for venue-facing products, ~50% rolled out across the platform). Present work with clarity - sharing multiple concepts, trade-offs, and how you collaborated with your squad. About you UI-strong : You bring polished craft and visual excellence, able to deliver “pixel perfect” design that elevates user experience - 8 years commercial experience Design-educated : Ideally, you’ve completed a formal product design degree or similar, bringing structured design thinking into your work. Portfolio ready : You can showcase a polished portfolio that clearly demonstrates your role, process, challenges faced, trade-offs made, and the impact delivered. Strategic but pragmatic : Capable of building a vision while working within realistic delivery timelines. Business-minded : You think like an owner - balancing customer needs with revenue impact, loyalty, and retention. Experience running a startup or agency a bonus. Collaborative fit : Transparent, open, and humble. Strong opinions loosely held. Delivery-focused : Comfortable with speed, ambiguity, and iterating quickly to get new products live. This is a rare chance to join a category-defining SaaS business at a pivotal stage, working on brand-new product lines with a design leader who values both craft excellence and cultural fit . If you’re a UI-strong designer with a polished portfolio and the drive to shape products from zero to one, this could be your career-defining move. Interested?
