About the opportunity Werribee Mercy hospital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Diabetes Nurse Educator to join our team as a casual staff member to fill leave vacancies. Clinical Nurse Consultants in Diabetes Education provide diabetes self-management education to inpatients and outpatients including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, maternity and community-based programs. Provide individualised diabetes self-management education to patients across our inpatient wards and outpatient programs Be an expert clinical resource for patients and staff across Werribee Mercy Hospital Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide highly responsive and flexible service to patients and careers What you’ll bring You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. To thrive in this role, you will have: Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), holding a current practicing certificate with current AHPRA registration Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education (essential) Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE) with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) OR working towards ADEA credentialing You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders Ready to help us shape the future of healthcare?
