About the Role: The Clinical Senior Social Worker (CS SW) is an experienced and highly competent clinician who applies expertise in delivering social work services within a multidisciplinary context across the Local Health Network (LHN) Mental Health (MH) Service. The role contributes to improving quality, safe, and community-driven mental health services and provides clinical and consultancy support that enhances recovery outcomes for consumers in rural and remote areas of South Australia. As a clinical leader, mentor, and supervisor, the CS SW provides profession-specific guidance to MH social work professionals and students, upholding clinical standards and promoting best practice. The role also includes managing a portfolio that drives service improvements, professional development, and enhanced expertise within the social work discipline. The CS SW represents local teams, regions, and the LHN MH Service on committees and workgroups, contributing to and managing relevant projects. This position allocates approximately 70% to local clinical and leadership duties and 30% to social work leadership, portfolio management, and supervision responsibilities. What We’re Looking For: Must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Post graduate qualifications in social work, psychotherapy, mental health, public sector management would be desirable.
