The Opportunity We’re looking for a Bus Service Planner to join our team and help shape the future of public transport across the Central Coast region. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and engaging with local communities to design services that truly meet their needs. What You’ll Do Support the Service Delivery Manager in planning and developing efficient, community-focused bus networks. Use data and research (such as patronage, travel behaviour and population growth) to improve services. Work closely with depot teams, schedulers, schools, councils, and Transport for NSW to deliver smart transport solutions. Represent CDC at local council, school and community meetings — being the voice of public transport in your region. Provide clear and timely information to internal teams and external stakeholders. Ensure all services meet government and contractual requirements. Meet and investigate issues onsite in the operating area. Write and submit service change requests to Transport for NSW About You You’re passionate about making public transport work better for local communities. · You'll live and are able to travel in the local environment · Proven writing abilities, be accurate, succinct and clear in your communication. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — especially with Excel and data analysis. Tertiary qualifications in Transport, Planning, Geography, Economics, or related fields (or equivalent experience). Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Able to balance priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment. Knowledge of transport planning tools (Hastus, VBA/SQL, etc.) is an advantage, but not essential — we’ll train you. Why Join Us?
